The ultimate "five-in-one" cricketer treated every pitch as his own personal canvas, giving generations of spectators and every umpire who was fortunate to stand in the middle with him the best seat in the house.

Our beloved National Hero left an indelible mark on the sport of cricket, on fields across the world, on the pages of history, on every cricket fan’s conscious mind and in the hearts of every Barbadian and West Indian.

We’ve lost an icon, a legend and a gentleman.
